DR. RICHARD DABBS, MD
Dr. Richard Dabbs graduated from The University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1980. After completing his residency program in 1982, he was appointed Chief Resident of Pediatrics at Children's of Alabama from 1982-to 1983. Dr. Dabbs became a member of the American Board of Pediatrics in 1985 and opened his private practice in Jasper Alabama with Dr. Patrick Hyland. He has dedicated over 35 years to serving the pediatric population of Jasper.
Dr. Dabbs has been married to his wife Margaret for 47 years. They have two sons, Spence and Dixon, and are now the proud grandparents of four grandchildren. He is an avid animal lover and enjoys spending time with his family.
Jill Saunders, CRNP
Jill Saunders attended Samford University, where she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing, with a concentration in primary family care. She graduated Cum Laude in 2014. She began her career as a Nurse Practitioner eight years ago at Dabbs and Hyland, PC.
As a mother and pediatric nurse practitioner, Jill has a special love for helping young mothers navigate the complex world of healthcare and medicine. She's passionate about caring for children and ensuring they have the health and medical resources they need in order to thrive and grow. She has two children -a son, Harrison, and a daughter, Ellie, --and has lived in Jasper since 2003.

Dr. Cameron Diaz, MD
Dr. Cameron Diaz was born and raised in Homewood, Alabama. She completed her degree in Chemistry at Mississippi State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2011. She attended Medical School at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and completed residency training in pediatrics at Louisiana State University in New Orleans in 2018.
Dr. Diaz returned to Alabama and began practicing at Dabbs and Hyland in the fall of 2018. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading, going to sporting events, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Emily Wright, CRNP
Emily attended the University of Alabama and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. She then returned to school and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013. Emily is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. For the last eight years, she has worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Pediatric ENT Associates at Children's of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama.
Emily is married to Haig Wright Ill, and they have a daughter, Eva. As a Jasper native, Emily is excited to be able to give back to the town she loves by serving young families. Emily's experience in pediatrics and love for Jasper will ensure your family's medical needs are met, and your expectations are exceeded.
